SYOPNSIS
When daddy’s little girl wants to marry the young man across the tracks and color line, both daddies, (his and hers) raise more than an eyebrow. The headstrong couple, very grown and
independent, plunge forward with the help of their mothers and other sorted alliances. From friends and family alike it seems like nothing will stop them from coming together.
Daddy’s little girl Rachel Hughes a creative reluctant attorney, wants to marry the handsome white guy from across town, Derrick Zywinskiy a hunky filmmaker with a warm heart minus the attitude, her hi strung black activist/ attorney father, Ronald Hughes raises more than an eyebrow when he finally meets him, and his blue collar family led by John Zywinskiy the chief of Police and sight unseen sworn enemy to Ronald, who defends people abused by the police. All could be well if they weren’t already engaged and already adults. It often seems like the hope of the future will come from the mothers of these two love birds.
Lisa Hughes understands the daddy’s little girl thing all too well as her dad was a senator and now chairs the NAACP. Lisa and her daughter are both outspoken but maintain a bond, she and the sweet Eleanore Zywinskiy a happy homemaker who is still in love with her high school sweetheart husband although he can be rough around the
edges. She admires Lisa and other outgoing women as she was one of them in her youth. Together they vow to become the much needed glue that will help their very different families get BLENDED.
